Top award for cargo-partner CEO Stefan Krauter

In the presence of numerous representatives of the transport and logistics industry Stefan Krauter, CEO of the cargo-partner Group, obtained the „Entrepreneur of the Year- LEO award from the German transport journal DVZ Deutsche Logistik Zeitung last Friday in Hamburg. “We are a modern and healthy medium-sized freight forwarding company from our deepest conviction – and therefore we are fully aware   of our strengths resulting thereof. Our nearly 100 own offices and the fact that we have technical tools and information technology of the truly big won’t change anything about that“, said Stefan Krauter on the event.

Based in Fischamend near Vienna, cargo-partner Group is an independent transport and logistics service provider with nearly 1,900 employees in 23 countries. In 1983 Stefan Krauter has established the enterprise as an air freight forwarding company at the airport in Vienna/Schwechat. Soon sea freight business joined the activities. In 1993 the first cargo-partner locations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia were opened, followed by Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.

Afterwards the group established companies step-by-step in Poland, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldavia and in Ukraine, while an organisation was also established in Western Europe. In 2004 the group expanded to Greater China, in 2007 locations in India started operating. At last the enterprise gained a foothold in Thailand and Singapore. For the coming years they plan to further expand spatially but also its service portfolio.
