Trade goods supplier agrees deal for new Derbyshire distribution centre

Wolseley, a company that sells trade supplies ranging from boilers to pipes, has finalised a pre-let agreement to move into a facility in Bolsover, North Derbyshire.

The property will serve as a distribution centre for Wolseley, consolidating a number of the firms’ existing sites. It is being built on a new 53-acre industrial and distribution site known as Horizon 29, just one mile off the M1.

Phase one of the development will consist of the 152,000 ft² building Wolseley have pre-let, as well as two additional units, one measuring at 73,174 ft² and the other 133,474 ft². Completion of this first stage is expected by Spring 2023.

This will be followed by a further two units, measuring at 105,487 ft² and 137,070 ft², before the second phase commences, focusing on accommodating buildings of around 250,000 ft² and above.

Horizon 29 is being marketed by Knight Frank, JLL, and Cushman & Wakefield.

Rebecca Schofield, Head of Industrial at Knight Frank, said: “The deal with Wolseley demonstrates the ideal location of the site, with immediate access to Junction 29a of the M1, at the boundary of the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. The development offers a range of sized units which will prove attractive to both local occupiers and foot loose occupiers looking for space in the area.”
