Transmec in £1.2m truck deal

Transmec, which specialises in fashion and automotive logistics, has taken delivery of 14 customised Iveco Stralis trucks from Guest Truck & Van in a deal worth £1.2 million.

The 480hp Stralis tractor units are fitted with height intuitive satnav and road safety systems including driver attention support as well as driver comforts like fridges and infotainment system.

Imran Mohammed, financial controller at Transmec, said: “We chose this dealer and manufacturer combination because of the flexibility, value and good customer service they have offered.”

Transmec operates more than 180 tractor units and handles more than one million shipments each year.

Robert Spittle, managing director at Guest Truck and Van, said: “Transmec have taken the time to look at exactly what they need from a truck for the sort of operation it is running.”
