Two prestigious new customers for the car terminal in the Port of Koper

Car terminal in Slovenian seaport Koper now also active for the automobile brands BMW and Mercedes-Benz

Last week the car terminal in the Slovenian seaport Koper handled new cars by BMW and Mercedes-Benz for the first time. The premiere tranche taken on by a car carrier belonging to the shipping company Neptune Lines by order of BLG Logistics comprised 362 vehicles (167 cars and transporters by Mercedes-Benz and 195 cars by BMW). Including those "new customers" the number of automotive customers handled at the car terminal in Luka Koper has risen to 27 brands. This consolidates their position as the largest and most important car terminal in the Mediterranean, the Luka Koper d.d. management says in a mailing.

The Slovenian port has registered a significant growth in vehicle business this year. From January to August 237.791 cars were handled in the port. This equals in increase of 23 per cent compared to last year’s figures and exceeds expectations. Luka Koper presently handles about one car carrier each day.
