Revirement in the top management of the Czech AWT Group

AWT Cechofracht parent company AWT Group appoints Martin Frývaldský as Chief Executive Officer

Last week the top management level of the AWT Group (Ostrava), a provider of intermodal transport logistics services, became the subject of reorganisation. CEO Attila Boros resigned from his position due to differences regarding strategic development of the strongy expanding Czech group of companies. For the time being Martin Frývaldský was made interim CEO.

The AWT Group evolved from the renaming of the OKD Doprava Group last spring. The company with headquarters in Doprava in the Czech Republic caused quite a stir in the last couple of years because of a number of company acquisitions – among them the former public forwarder Cechofracht and the private railway company Viamont. Besides activities in national/international transports and international forwarding, the company operates their own container terminals in Paskov near Ostrava and Brest (Byelorussia). Their location network comprises companies in nine countries in Central- and Eastern Europe with a total of 3.000 employees.
