Two new lettings at Dunsbury Park in Hampshire

Leases have been signed on two of the three recently-built industrial units at Dunsbury Park, Havant – a business park developed by Portsmouth City Council within the Solent Freeport zone.

The first new tenant is automotive company Inchcape, which has taken a 19,017ft² unit at the site. It plans to use this facility as a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) servicing centre.

Simon Priest, centre principal at Inchcape Porsche Portsmouth, commented: “Our EV service centre at Dunsbury Park will really complement our dealership’s offering for customers. The quality of the building as well as being in an easily accessible location is exactly the type of experience we want for our customers.”

The second unit, a larger 26,430ft² building, has been taken by outdoor musical instrument manufacturer Percussion Play.

Percussion Play’s managing director Jody Ashfield said: “While we were looking to expand our business, it’s the quality of the location and local amenities which complement our brand that also attracted us to the site. The emphasis on providing quality outdoor space and a business park environment make Dunsbury Park an attractive place to grow within.”

These new additions to Dunsbury Park will join existing tenants DPD, Breeze Motor Group and bio-medical manufacturer Bio-Pure – plus fashion brand FatFace, which has its UK headquarters on the park.

Leader of Portsmouth City Council with responsibility for economic development, councillor Steve Pitt, said: “We’re excited to welcome two new tenants to Dunsbury Park where we have an eclectic mix of top-rated occupiers, providing valuable employment opportunities in the region and supporting the local economy.

“There’s now only one existing unit remaining, which is built to a best-in-class specification, with freeport benefits available to qualifying businesses. I don’t envisage the unit being available for long.”

The remaining unit is a 33,205ft² warehouse, which – according to joint leasing agent Colliers – is developed to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard, has an EPC ‘A’ rating and includes 3,554ft² of office space.

Speaking on Dunsbury Park, director of industrial and logistics at Colliers, James Haestier noted: “There are not many opportunities like this in the area and with the financial incentives available I am not surprised that two units have already been let.”
