Uwe Wedig becomes the new CEO of Imperial Shipping Holding

Imperial Shipping Group (Duisburg): Europe’s leading inland shipping company appoints new top management effective from 1 January 2015

Uwe Wedig (55) will become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Imperial Shipping Holding GmbH on 1 January 2015. He is taking over the position from Carsten Taucke (49), who will become the CEO of the parent company Imperial Logistics International B.V. & Co. KG on the same date.

Wedig was member of the board of Häfen Güterverkehr Köln AG (HGK) and was released from his current contract as of 3rd December. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of HTAG Häfen und Transport AG, Duisburg, which belonged to HGK since 2002.

Henning Bosch (52), until now Managing Director of the subsidiary IMPERIAL Shipping Services GmbH, will become the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He takes over from the current COO Robert Baack (65), who will continue to provide his expertise until the end of January 2015 before going into retirement as planned.  Jens Kleiner (39) will become part of the Management as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Kleiner has so far been responsible for Controlling and Projects at Imperial Shipping Holding GmbH.

In 2013 the inland vessels of the Imperial Shipping Group transported a volume of 60 million tonnes of cargo.
