Vega Trans opens “Compounds“ for utility vehicle industry

Vega International Car Transport & Logistic – Trading GmbH is backed by a remarkable history of success. The enterprise from Salzburg with about 1,000 employees will carry a total of 80,000 utility vehicles this year, thus setting its course for a turnover of EUR 100 million.

Vega International Car Transport carries utility vehicles, busses, trailers and large cars on behalf of reputable manufacturers from all over the world. The private company established in 1990 has its own sites at geographically important locations and strategic partnerships. They are using all transport modes available.

Currently the Salzburg logistics company is establishing “Compounds” of 10,000 m² to 15,000 m² total area – wherever it is possible – near the production sites of the major manufacturers of trucks, tractors and buses. “This way we can offer clients also services in the field of temporary storage of vehicles,” Franz Blum explains in an interview with the LogEASTics magazine.

In Turkey, Vega International Car Transport with more than 100 employees operates “Compounds” in the neighborhood of the Mercedes-Benz-factories in Istanbul (buses) and Aksaray in Anatolia (truck). The country on the border between Orient and Occident is one of the company’s key markets because of its very young and well-educated population.
