VisionDirect chooses Snapfulfil for Spanish warehouse

VisionDirect, the online only retailer of contact lenses and eye care products, has selected the Snapfulfil Cloud WMS for a third site in Girona, Spain.

The company already uses Snapfulfil at its distribution centres in York, UK and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

The 10,000 sq ft distribution centre in Girona will allow the retailer to serve customers in the Spanish, French and Italian markets more efficiently, as well as supporting the company’s continued European expansion. The facility will stock in the region of 25,000 SKUs and fulfil upwards of 1,200 orders per day.

VisionDirect’s head of operations, Jason Thornton, says: “Our experience with Snapfulfil has been extremely positive – as a high volume, B2C retailer with in excess of 10,000 individual stock locations/bins, and small, visually barely-distinguishable SKUs, the system does everything we need.

“Our new facility in Spain represents an important development in our continued expansion and our existing Snapfulfil-driven operations provide a blue-print for another highly accurate and efficient warehouse and fulfilment operation.”
