New subsidiary in Chennai opened in February

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics AS announces the establishment of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (India) Private Limited in Chennai. The aim of incorporating WWL in India is to enable WWL to be more active in responding to OEM’s requests for developing logistics solutions.

The opening of the new company demonstrates WWL’s continued commitment to India. WWL aims to establish a long term presence in India covering its five core products – Ocean Transportation, Terminal Services, Technical Services, Inland Distribution and Supply Chain Management. WWL brings to India its experience and expertise from other markets in transporting automobiles, RoRo and break-bulk cargo across the world from factory to dealer. 

WWL is looking at exploring opportunities in India in areas of Automobile/RoRo Terminal development, Terminal Management, Yard Management & PDI at car plants, inland distribution of finished vehicles and the establishment of a dedicated ocean product.
