Hamburg port terminal operator Wallmann & Co. increases its crane lifting capacity to 406 tonnes by adding a new mobile port crane of Liebherr

The Hamburg port terminal operator Wallmann & Co. (GmbH & Co. KG) has expanded its crane capacity by adding a new mobile port crane from the crane manufacturer Liebherr. This is already the second LHM 600 mobile port crane, which is put into operation at the multi-purpose terminal at Reiherstieg in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. In tandem operation, these two mobile cranes can now move heavy loads of up to 406 tonnes. Only on the Wallmann terminal in Hamburg can lift such heavy loads in a seaport in Germany.

Wallmann took over the new 590-tonnes mobile port crane with a tower height of 38 meters on 24 October 2014. The boom can be set up to a maximum height of 80 meters and in this position can lift a maximum load of 208 tonnes with a loading rope. The boom length of 58 meters is designed for handling Super Post-Panamax ships. In total Wallmann & Co. has seven cranes for the handling of conventional cargo.
