Wattaul moving early, friendly and fresh
Transport logistics company Anton Wattaul GesmbH is gaining a foothold in fine distribution of fresh goods in Vienna
Anton Wattaul GesmbH based in Pöchlarn, Lower Austria, is setting up a new division in fine distribution of fresh goods. The first stage will be launched in January in the region of Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. The dedicated new location of the Wattaul company – a cross docking warehouse in Vienna’s 23rd district, directly at the Inzersdorf motorway junction – offers a total of 1,200 m² covered area: 700 m² refrigerated and 500 m² dry storage. About EUR 1.5 million will be invested to provide more than 15 reefer trucks and to modify the refrigerated zone.
The location in Vienna 23 will be used for cross docking, storage and order-picking of goods. Also the reefer fleet positioned at the Großgrünmarkt-wholesale market, consisting of 30 units, operated in the fresh and deep freeze segment, will be integrated into the new location and controlled centrally from there. A designated own fleet of eight trucks has been launched for the 24/7 distribution of the fresh goods.
