Webinar: Evolution vs Revolution – How to go from Manual to Automated Warehouse Solutions

On 8 February 2024 at 11:00am GMT, Logistics Manager will host a webinar with SSI Schaefer focusing on the shift from manual to automated solutions in the warehouse.

Increasing automation within your warehouse may be essential for many reasons. A key question is what solution is best, but how to get there can be overlooked.

Should you bite the bullet and go big? Should you step change over a longer period of time? There is no single right way to do it, but this webinar will help guide on the pros and cons of each path, as well as the technologies involved.

This webinar is for you if you are:

  • Considering improving your warehouse solution but not sure how
  • Thinking about which warehouse solution is most suitable for you
  • Wanting to learn how to start planning your project today and get to know the differences between various methodologies

Whether you need to get more storage from an existing facility, gain more throughput, or improve order accuracy, this webinar is a must.

Speakers:

Jonathon Buckby, UK head of sales for automation at SSI Schaefer

Jonathon Buckby is the UK head of sales for automation at SSI Schaefer, looking after all automation projects within the UK, covering a broad range of technologies across all industries.

Having worked in Intralogistics for a decade, he joined SSI as a field sales operative within the statics division.

Over the years this quickly transitioned to automation, successfully working on multiple projects, most notably the award-winning Boohoo project in Sheffield as the sales lead. Such a transition gives broad knowledge across the SSI range, ensuring all projects are handled from a best fit for customer perspective.

Today the UK automation team regularly delivers over £100m worth of projects on an annual basis, covering everything from pallet shuttles, pouch sorters, conveyor systems, shuttles and many more.
