Wim Bosman signs contract with Procter & Gamble in Romania

Wim Bosman has signed a three-year contract with Procter & Gamble to provide integrated supply chain services in Eastern Romania.

Wim Bosman started operating as the distribution centre of the newly built plant in Urlati, and manages the warehousing of the finished products and shuttling services to and from the production plant.

The strategically located 10,000 m2 A-class warehouse and office facilities were built in the Ploiesti Industrial Park, outside the Bucharest congested area.

In other news, Wim Bosman obtained its AEO-certification in Romania on June 23rd, entitling the company to simplified customs procedures as well as benefits in respect of safety controls.

Although there are still differences between Romanian customs authorities and the Western European standards, the authorities are making significant progress in upgrading procedures and IT capabilities.

Since 2005, Wim Bosman has had its own customs office and hosts the customs head office of the Prahova region in Romania at its premises in Ploiesti.

Established in 1963, Wim Bosman has sixteen branches, 1,500 own transport units and more than 340,000 m2 of warehousing in Europe.  The company operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Romania, Poland and Russia, and has long-term agency relations and agreements in all other countries in Europe.  Together with its partner, the company also operates from thirteen offices throughout Asia.
