Women wanted as London Gateway creates 50 jobs

DP World London Gateway has looking for 50 new members of staff at its South Essex deep-sea container hub port.

The company is encouraging women to apply in an attempt to dispel myths that ports are not for women. It wants women to take a fresh look at what the modern port has to offer.

The port opened in November 2013 and has a 400-member team. It has two berths open, with a further four to come. The port and logistics site is expected to employ 12,000 people when fully developed.
