X1 Express moves under the roof of Quehenberger Logistics

Quehenberger Logistics acquires 60 per cent stake in the Austrian express and courier service provider X1 Express

The Austrian express and courier service provider X1 Express has a new majority shareholder. The Augustin Quehenberger Group – owner of Quehenberger Logistics – is to take over 60 per cent of the shares of the Vienna-based, internationally operating enterprise. The company has 70 employees, generates a total annual turnover of about EUR 14 million and operates its own locations in Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. The company was established as “GO! Express & Logistics“ and renamed to X1 EXPRESS in 2012.“With X1 EXPRESS, Quehenberger Logistics completes its service portfolio with the increasingly important products express and courier services for sensible and small volume goods“, says Christian Fürstaller, CEO Augustin Quehenberger Group. X1 EXPRESS will be continued independently. Through the new majority shareholder the company gains access to the customers and infrastructure of Quehenberger Logistics in 17 countries in Europe.

“As a company of the Augustin Quehenberger Group, X1 EXPRESS has set the course for further strategic expansion, and is a perfect match of the offer and philosophy of an owner-managed enterprise“, Paul Brandstätter adds.
