Yodel cuts emissions by 25%

Yodel has reduced its carbon emissions by 25%, despite growing over the last five years. 

The company has invested £17 million in its fleet, as part of its more long-term commitment to sustainable deliveries.

This includes requiring all of its vehicles to be three years or younger ; which means that every one of its vehicles now meets “all” Clean Air Zones requirements.

The company has also invested in installing Microlise technology for all of its tractor and trailer units. The software monitors speed, location, and road traffic levels, to help make real-time decisions on routes and performance.

Further, the company has introduced delivery by bicycle to seven cities in the UK, reducing emissions by 2.3 tonnes in London after a collaboration with Pedivan.
