Yusen Logistics enhances its service offer in Europe

26,000 m² additional area at the site in the Duisburg Logport marks an important step in the development of Yusen Logistics Europe

The Duisburg branch of Yusen Logistics GmbH (Germany) is expanding its activities in the world’s largest inland port from 42,000 m² to 68,000 m². The additional services of the company include a 10,000 m² rack warehouse, 10,000 m² crossdock area for consolidation and just-in-time deliveries to production sites in Europe as well as a dangerous goods warehouse with 6,000 m² covered area.

Yusen Logistics (Germany) has been present in Duisburg since 1999, where it operates its European distribution warehouse for consumer and production goods from renowned manufacturers. The company offers its customers comprehensive services for contract logistics, including order picking, kitting, and various types of customs warehouse.

„The warehouse expansion allows us to advance the services offered in Germany and Europe with regard to the customer’s requests. This means for us an important step in the development,“ Seiji Yuzen, managing director of Yusen Logistics GmbH (Germany), comments on the warehouse expansion. With nine container terminals in close proximity to various motorways, as well as rail and inland waterway connections to the major European ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, Duisburg represents an important gateway in Europe.

Yusen Logistics (Tokyo) is by its own account a leading provider of services in the areas of contract logistics and air-/seafreight forwarding. To the region Europe includes 4,300 employees at 75 locations with more than 700,000 m² of warehouse space.
