Yusen Logistics UK launches Shanghai consolidation service
As part of its ongoing launch programme of new services, Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd has launched a direct weekly LCL (less than container load) service from Shanghai to Southampton.
The company stated that the new service is being introduced in response to high levels of demand in the market and follows on from the success of its LCL service from Singapore.
Through use of its own facility, Yusen Logistics can prioritise containers to meet customers‘ requirements and therefore has direct control over the release of cargo at destination. This allows immediate availability of stock upon receipt at Southampton.
