DHL launches ocean freight consolidation from Italy to Kuwait

DHL Global Forwarding has established a new ocean freight link from Italy to Kuwait.

The new less than container load (LCL) direct service is scheduled on a weekly basis and has improved the transit time from 32 to 27 days, avoiding transhipment at the Dubai hub.
The new direct service to Kuwait strengthens DHL Global Forwarding Italy’s offering of LCL shipping solutions, providing Kuwaiti importers with a better, faster and more cost efficient alternative to the connection with Dubai.

"We are always striving to offer our customers better services to meet their ever changing business needs," said Thomas Nieszner, CEO for DHL Global Forwarding, Europe, Middle East and Africa. "Kuwait imports a wide range of goods from Italy – everything from mechanical machinery, construction materials and mineral products, to fashion, food and consumer goods. Demand for these products is set to rise further as Kuwait continues to emerge as a key player in the region and, as a result, we expect the improved transit times from Italy to have a real and immediate impact on our customers in Kuwait."
