Yusen’s LTL network in Central Europe makes Renault-Nissan glad

“Inbound Logistics Performance” in CEE: Yusen Logistics wins four prestigious logistics awards from the Renault-Nissan Alliance

Yusen Logistics has scooped four major logistics awards from the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The 2014 Renault-Nissan Alliance award for “Inbound Logistics Performance” recognises best practice and excellence in Kaizen achievement.

Renault-Nissan Alliance Logistics Europe Division specified three particular areas of Yusen’s LTL network across Central Europe which covers Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania; an LTL collection service managed via two strategic hubs in Prague and Budapest. These hubs collect and deliver to over 300 suppliers a day, supplying the Renault-Nissan plants in France, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and the UK.

Yusen was praised for:

•    Excellence: filling rates and route optimization for line-haul

•    Best practice: Optimization of the loading capacity by actual weight of the goods. Increase of 10% of filling rate in terms of weight (Czech Republic -Turkey flows)

•    Integrity and Innovation: Communication with Renault-Nissan Alliance Engineering and Inbound Operations

The three further awards which are from Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK (NMUK), were presented to the Yusen teams in the Czech Republic, Hungary and the UK, with each country operation ranked as among the plant’s best Logistics providers for operational performance related plant delivery.

The awards recognise Yusen’s continuous support in helping Nissan’s Sunderland Plant achieve yet further milestones, in particular the successful launch of three new models in one year, whilst also achieving volumes of 500,000-plus for the second consecutive year.
