Retirement: Josef Luttenberger leaves Jöbstl Spedition

Branch manger of Jöbstl forwarding in Styria Josef Luttenberger is to retire by the end of this month; Michael Sammt took over his position

„37 years are enough. After 37 years in the forwarding business, on which I am looking back gratefully, I want to reorganise my life planning, which is why I will retire by the end of this month.“ Using these words branch manager Josef Luttenberger informed his business partners and friends about the end of his active professional career.

Initially Josef Luttenberger had been working for Nunner forwarding, and later on in a managing position at Jöbstl forwarding for 26 years. He had been able to contribute to make the latter named enterprise a renowned forwarding service provider with locations in Austria and the neighbouring countries.

Michael Sammt, 47, took over the position of the branch manager of Jöbstl in Styria, effective 1 September 2014. In this function he will be in charge of current operations as well as expansion of all forwarding and logistics activities at the two locations in Wundschuh and Spielfeld.

In addition to its headquarters in Wundschuh in southern Styria, the internationally operating Jöbstl group has seven offices in Spielfeld, Vienna, Pichl near Wels, Fürnitz and in Ljubljana (SI), Budapest Gyál (HU) and Sibiu (RO). With 230 employees, the forwarding company moves about 400,000 shipments a year. They are offering a wide range of transportation and logistics services from a single source, based on 45,000 m² of covered warehouse space.
