Rhenus Offshore Logistics: With fixed prices to wind parks

Rhenus Offshore Logistics (Bremen) started adopting a sustainable approach for its supply trips to wind parks in the sea from Emden and Cuxhaven

Customers can now arrange supply and disposal services for their platforms and the ships operating at the construction sites at fixed prices for each vessel departing from Emden and Cuxhaven – at any time of day or night.

“We handled at least a dozen of these trips to offshore wind parks for two or more customers during the second half of 2014. Based on the experience gained from these operations, we’ve been able to develop a product that makes the costs incurred much more transparent than in the past by offering a fixed price,” explains Thore Schreiber, who is responsible for this project at Rhenus Offshore Logistics.

Rhenus Offshore Logistics was founded in the summer of 2014. The business unit, which has its headquarters in Bremen and local offices in Cuxhaven and Emden, pools the Rhenus Group’s logistics activities in the offshore sector. A focus is on offering supply and disposal services for high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) converter platforms and substations at the wind parks in the German Bight and the jack-up vessels operating there.
