2013 business performance of DSV Group was according to plan

Turnover rose 1.7 per cent last year with DSV Global Transport and Logistics; The agenda for 2014 provides for value-adding acquisitions

The financial year 2013 had the expected pattern for the Danish transport and logistics group DSV. Despite the low growth in some relevant countries and the fierce competition, all targeted figures have been reached, said CEO Bjorn Andersen in the previous week at the release of the balance sheet.

In detail, the company has 22,000 employees at locations in 75 countries around the world, generating revenues of DKK 45.7 billion (EUR 6.12 billion) and annual profit of DKK 1.57 billion (EUR 210.3 million). In ocean freight they carried 772,000 TEU and in the air cargo segment they moved 259,000 tonnes of goods.

In 2014, the DSV management expects continued growth in a persistently difficult market environment. The focus will be on measures to increase productivity and value-adding acquisitions, as wlel as on customer service, disclosed DSV head Bjorn Andersen.
