24plus changes partner in Greater Munich

Hansa-Barth replaces Logwin location Karlsfeld as a partner of the 24plus general cargo kooperative

The 24plus logistics network, a general cargo kooperative based in Germany, has a new partner for greater Munich. Since 1 March Hansa-Barth GmbH is a member of the network. The subsidiary of the Barth Logistics Group in Burladingen succeeds the Logwin location in Karlsfeld, who withdraws from the general cargo business. Hansa-Barth expects its membership in 24plus to have a positive effect on its general cargo transport activities. As a preparation to the expected growth the forwarding facility in Munich city was replaced by a larger site in Unterschleißheim.

Hansa-Barth GmbH has been active at the location in Munich for 30 years. In Unterschleißheim the company has around 2,000 sq.m. throughput area. The fleet comprises 20 short distance vehicles with hydraulic lift and two own long distance trucks. Being a specialist for tyre logistics, the forwarding company supplies Upper Bavarian tyre dealers with car and utility vehicle tyres of the following brands: Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone, Pirelli and several sub-brands.

“Moreover we have established our own general cargo business“, Dirk Seifert, Location Manager explains. He expects the consignments from the 24plus network to increase the effective utilisation of the short distance transports.
