Gefco Austria expands its logistics terminal in St. Valentin

Focus on services to Russia shall boost the position of the Gefco group in Austria
 
Gefco Austria is expanding its logistics facility in St. Valentin in 2013. Total area will be enlarged to 5,400m². With the expansion of the logistics services division at the branch in St. Valentin, as well as thanks to the positive development in the segments part/full loads and logistics services, the industrial logistician achieved 25 per cent growth in turnover in its key business overland in the year 2012. Gefco Austria has 6 branches and 70 employees, who generated external turnover of EUR 29.4 million in 2012, which is 16.7 per cent more than last year.
 
Expanding their services towards Russia, Gefco Austria plans to boost its position as a leading logistics enterprise in Austria. In line with their course of expansion the enterprise wants to focus on the CIS markets and establish new liner services for consolidated cargo, full load and less than full loads to this region. “In the 2013 financial year we want to achieve further growth and we are planning to expand our services and develop new markets. We aim to support our customers more effective and consolidate our position as leading automotive logistician in the Austrian market,“ says Thomas Ziegler, managing director Gefco Austria. In addition the company plans to expand its services in the segment of logistics for complete vehicles. These plans include the establishment of automotive centres in Vienna and an office in the port of Vienna.
