86% of SC Execs Note an Increase in the Business Value of Supply Chain

eyefortransport surveyed a cross-section of senior supply chain executives to gain insight into their current supply chain strategy.
 
The newly released Global Chief Supply Chain Officer Strategy Report concentrates on the European market, drawing a comparison to worldwide tendencies, as well as responses from 2011, to provide insight into the perception of supply chain management strategy globally.
 
Results focus on the changing perception of supply chain to overall business value, the effects of the global economic climate to investment and growth strategies, recruitment trends and more.  The report also examines the current challenges and projects that are of most concern to supply chain executives for 2012.
 
Findings include:
 
·         The business value of supply chain continues to hold strong, with 86% of respondents noting an increase in perceived supply chain value within their organization
 
·         The number of companies with a head of supply chain on their board has increased in the past year, especially in Europe
 
·         Economic conditions continue to impact upon company growth strategies, with a high proportion of respondents noting a reduction or postponement of planned investments
