Acumen modifies trucks to increase capacity

Acumen Automotive Logistics is to modify 20 of its trucks to enable drivers to increase the number of full-body covered vehicles they can safely load and unload.

The modifications include extending walkways, installing additional safety posts and adding extra guide rails and removable foot plates and hand posts.

“We work with our customers to ensure they receive the most efficient and cost effective service,” said Peter Raybould, director of Acumen Automotive. “By carrying out these modifications in line with JLR’s request, we have not only ensured further safety for our drivers but have also helped reduce CO2 emissions by modifying the trucks to carry additional finished vehicles”.
