Agility opens new facility in Germany
Agility has officially opened a new logistics centre in Korntal-Münchingen, northwest of Stuttgart. The 9,000 m2 centre includes a 4,500 m2 storage area, a 1,500 m2 picking and packaging area, a 3,000 m2 handling area, as well as thirteen heavy goods vehicles loading ramps. Apart from warehousing services, the centre focuses on providing road freight to and from all major European cities as well as international sea freight and airfreight. The facility is equipped to cater for the specific needs of the high-tech, retail and automotive industries. The opening of the new facility represents an important milestone for Agility in the Central Europe region. The facility’s warehouse system provides full visibility into shipment status. The value added services on offer range from stock and order management, picking, foliation and finishing/enhancement services such fitting and mixing to configuration and assembly services and quality control.
