APL Logistics forms alliance with Sumitomo Warehouse
APL Logistics and Japan’s Sumitomo Warehouse Co have formed a strategic alliance to jointly market global supply chain services. The alliance partners will jointly market services and offer preferential rates to clients. APL Logistics, part of the Singapore-based NOL Group, provides origin, destination and transport services to multi-national clients in major world markets. Osaka-based Sumitomo provides a range of supply chain services in Japan emphasizing integrated distribution. Under the agreement, APL Logistics‘ global network will provide services to Sumitomo customers outside of Japan, and Sumitomo will provide APL Logistics customers in Japan with deconsolidation services, warehousing and distribution, transportation management, value added services and customs brokerage.
