Ahlers gives Egger Group logistic support in Russia

Ahlers is building up a strategic partnership with Egger Group in container transport; launch of warehouse operations will start soon
 
The Russian affiliate of the Belgium based company Ahlers has started a strategic partnership with Egger Group. The scope of the collaboration with Egger Drevprodukt Shuya are transit containers and a cross-dock operation. The next step in the cooperation is the launch of the warehouse operations in April/May. 
 
Transit containers after being customs cleared in the port of Saint-Petersburg are delivered directly to the final clients of Egger. Cross-dock containers after being cleared and delivered to Ahlers warehouse, where they are regrouped for shipment to the final consignees. Sea freight is being organized by Ahlers Belgium, handling of cargo upon arrival to port Saint-Petersburg is done by Ahlers Saint-Petersburg. After half a year of collaboration Ahlers is handling a substantial number of container shipments for the various Egger plants in Germany. 
 
Egger Group with headquarters in St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria) is a worldwide leading manufacturer of high-quality laminate flooring. Egger owns 17 production plants that are located in Austria, Germany, France, UK, Romania and Russia (Gagarin and Shuya). Though there are production facilities in Russia, substantial volumes are imported from main plants in Europe. The increasing import flow of over 500 containers a year revealed the necessity for an additional logistic provider for shipments to Russia.
 
Ahlers is an international logistic and maritime service provider with headquarters in the port of Antwerp in Belgium. The whole network of the company spans 20 countries in Africa, Asia, CIS and Europe, staffed by over a 1000 employess and closely collaborating with local partners.
