Ahlers Ukraine opens location in Odessa
Continued expansion of Belgian transport and logistics group Ahlers in Ukraine
Ahlers group dedicated the year 2010 to their expansion in Ukraine. Having recently opened offices in Lviv and Donetsk, the Belgian enterprise will start as per 1 December a location with offices and leased warehousing area in the seaport of Odessa. The reason for this measure is an outsourcing contract for warehousing and distribution services for an international customer. Ahlers headquartered in Antwerp has been serving the Ukraninian market with an own national company since 1999. In addition to the new stations in Lviv, Donetsk and Odessa the group has own warehouses in Kharkiv (11,000 sq. m.) and Dnepropetrovsk (3,000 sq. m.). Employment in Ukraine increases from 75 to 95 staff, who provide services in the fields of transport and logistics, both national and international. The whole group is present in 20 countries in Africa, Asia, CIS and Europe and employs more than 1,000 people worldwide.
