Alfred Wolfram appointed new Austrian representative of Bremen ports

Forwarder Alfred Wolfram to assume function as Austrian representative of the „twin ports“ Bremen/Bremerhaven on January 1, 2014

The port and logistics site in Bremen/Bremerhaven continues the tradition of taking care of Austrian customers and business partners through a local representative. A few days ago KommR Alfred Wolfram was appointed as the new representative of the North German „twin ports“ in Austria. From January 1, 2014 the trained forwarder will act as a link between Austria’s industry and the seaport logistics providers in Bremen. He succeeds Erwin Mittermeier, who has been representing the port and logistics site Bremen/Bremerhaven in the Republic of Austria since 2004.

Austria has been one of the major trading partners of the Bremen ports in the European hinterland. In 2012, transit volume amounted to around 1.2 million tonnes. In container traffic 128,000 TEU were carried into or out of Austria. There is a traditional predominance of exports.
