cargo-partner opens gates in Vietnam

Transport and logistics provider cargo-partner strengthens its network in Southeast Asia through new location in Ho Chi Minh City

Following Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia cargo-partner has now also opened its own location in Vietnam. The new office of the international transport and logistics company is located on the main lane between the airport and the industrial centers of Ho Chi Minh City. The services provided in Vietnam range from transport of air and sea freight to warehousing and customs clearance.

„In Vietnam we see a rapidly growing market of the future. Our new location allows us to control the procurement of freight and services ourselves,“ Stefan Krauter, CEO of the cargo-partner group, commented on the expansion. „Many companies in the electronics and entertainment industry and the clothing and footwear manufacturing industry are based in Vietnam,“ says Stefan van der Sluys, cargo-partner, Regional Director South East Asia, explaining the logical step for cargo-partner to offer its clients local consulting and service.

Vietnam counts among the continuously growing regions in Southeast Asia and with a population of 91 million inhabitants the country is ranked among the most populous in the world. The logistics company expects progressive growth and increase in exports from this region. Vietnam is one of the 10 founding countries of the ASEAN economic alliance.

The cargo-partner group headquartered in Fischamend near Vienna has 2,400 employees at more than 100 locations in 31 countries. The service range covers air, sea and road transport for international and domestic customers, completed by solutions to optimise warehousing capacities. Annual turnover 2012 amounted to EUR 560 million.
