AMI launches Click2Ship trade-only integrator product

The UK arm of Air Menzies International (AMI) – the world’s largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler – has launched a new online express product that provides freight agents and courier companies with the fastest quotes at market-beating rates.

“Click2Ship” enables freight agents and courier companies to compare services from leading integrators such as FedEx, DHL and UPS and obtain instant, all-inclusive quotes. Also included in Click2Ship are AMI Express’ existing GS (integrator-based) and GX (airline-based) airport-to-door services. Further service options and destinations will be progressively added to Click2Ship in the future.

One of Click2Ship’s key features is its new ‘collect and deliver’ service, which enables customers to choose whether to have consignments collected from their own premises, or direct from their shipper anywhere in the UK mainland.

Click2Ship is designed to provide the ultimate in user-friendly service: customers can obtain quotes, check close-outs and transit times and make bookings in a few mouse clicks. It also features extensive on-screen help, and offers an instant chat help facility linked to AMI Express customer service staff. Re-keying of previously-entered data is alleviated by auto-filling of data fields, and Click2Ship prints consignment notes and labels. After booking, the system enables customers to track their shipments online, and print PODs.

To preserve AMI’s renowned trade-only neutrality, access to Click2Ship is password protected; new customers must pre-register, while existing AMI online customers can log in using their normal details.
