AMI steps up German sales

AMI Germany optimistic that it will see strong growth in 2008 despite tough market conditions

AMI, the world’s largest trade-only freight wholesale,  has appointed Linda Olejnik as Sales Executive for its German operation, based in Frankfurt. Linda joins from UPS SCS, where she worked in the company’s Frankfurt Export department. In her new post – the first dedicated sales role within AMI Germany she will be responsible for raising the company’s profile among German freight agents.

AMI currently issues a trade tariff listing services to and from over 100 points worldwide. With the recent growth of the AMI own branch network, which now spans the USA, South Africa, Australasia and China, further export and import services will be added in the coming months. The Frankfurt office has also seen some big gains in the spot market.

AMI is part of publicly-listed John Menzies plc, which also has extensive interests in aviation ground handling and cargo handling.
