Aramex awarded ISO 9001 across its Dutch offices

Logistics specialist gains first of three part accreditation process in The Netherlands

Aramex (DFM: ARMX), the global logistics solutions provider has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 status across all its branches in The Netherlands. It’s offices at Schiphol-Rijk, Aalsmeer, Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Groningen embarked on the process in January 2009 with the aim of completing it by the end of July.

Each branch’s processes all had to be documented and then aligned to ISO standards as well as embedded into the Aramex global procedures. Formal training sessions on new procedures were held for staff alongside a TQMS awareness training programme.

BSI, the auditor for the process commented that the company showed a high level of competency and had a professional records management and archiving process. It’s customer focus is well developed and staff are very familiar with the content of contracts and the specific requirements and needs of their customers, it said.

As a result of obtaining ISO 9001 status, Aramex in The Netherlands has now turned its attention to achieving ISO 14001 status, TAPA certification and AEO status – all by the end of 2009.
