Asstra Logistics: New CIS solution for consumer goods

New product line of AsstrA Logistics offers European producers of consumer goods a continuous supply chain to Russian recipients

The international transport and logistics service provider AsstrA Associated Traffic AG presents in mid-February its newly developed logistics strategies for the FMCG industry at the largest Eastern European food fair ProdExpo in Moscow. The service concept of the subsidiary AsstrA Logistics AG combines according to the specifications of the management cost-effective transport solutions with minimised customs and currency risks. "This means high calculation security for customers in the food industry", reads a news release.

AsstrA Logistics handles the entire trade and transport chain from the production plants in Europe and China. For example, goods from camps in Poland to Russia are transported directly to the distributor’s warehouse. "40 percent of our clients come from the FMCG sector. For them, our new logistics solution minimizes the currency and credit risks. In addition, the customer has no longer to maintain their own business units in Russia", says Dmitry Lagun, CEO of AsstrA Associated Traffic AG.

AsstrA Associated Traffic AG was founded in 1993 in Zurich and now operates as a holding company with four operating subsidiaries. AsstrA Forwarding AG takes over all transportation and freight forwarding services, customs services and cargo insurance. AsstrA Logistics AG develops and manages complete logistics projects exportation/importation and storage services. AsstrA Transport AG covers all service functions for the transport of goods with their own vehicles. The EBS Partners AG is preparing introduction, development and technical support for the Oracle software in the field of logistics. The group employs around 800 staff at locations in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States and China.
