Augustin Quehenberger expects moderate growth in 2012

New customer business generate organic growth of the Augustin Quehenberger Group’s sales revenues by 11 per cent in 2011

The 2011 business year brought many bright spots but also a downer to the Augustin Quehenberger Group. Concluding new business deals amounting to EUR 75 million the group was able to increase its turnover to 413 million euros. This is a growth by 11 per cent. The main impulses for growth are contract logistics with large outsourcing projects, European FTL transports including transport management as well as logistics industry solutions. "The group has now definitely established itself as one of the top service providers of the local logistics industry", said CEO Christian Fürstaller. In view of a decreasing economic environment he expects a moderate growth to approximately 430 million euros for 2012.

The positive result for 2011 was not achieved to the planned amount due to one-time items, which became necessary during restructuring. Among them there were the formation of an external data centre, the expansion of the common headquarters in Straßwalchen – both became necessary due to the unplanned closing of a location – as well as the advanced expansion of the company network in new countries. "However, despite the one-time expenses we achieved a black zero this year", explains CFO Rodolphe Schoettel. For 2012, the group plans a clearly positive overall result.

Since its foundation in 2010 the Augustin Quehenberger Group GmbH headquartered in Straßwalchen near Salzburg is owned by Christian Fürstaller, Rodolphe Schoettel and Rudi Quehenberger. The group includes also the following companies: Augustin Network GmbH (quality provider of transport management across Europe) and Quehenberger Logistics GmbH (specialist for network and contract logistics in Central and Eastern Europe). In total the corporate group has about 2,150 employees at 75 locations in 17 European countries.
