Bankruptcy proceedings for GKT Transport-Logistics in Spielberg

Upper Styrian transport enterprise GKT Transport-Logistics faces severe economic turbulences

On 15 July the regional court Landesgericht Leoben opened bankruptcy proceedings about the assets of the GKT Transport-Logistics GmbH based in Spielberg near Knittelfeld. According to a notice from the KSV1870 – Austrian association for the protection of creditors the bankruptcy was due to application of creditors. At the end of last week no further details were available regarding the cause of the insolvency, the number of affected employees and the amount of debts. Dr. Helmut Fetz, lawyer in 8700 Leoben, Hauptplatz 11, was appointed the liquidator. Creditors may claim before 25 August.

The managing partner and majority shareholder of the now insolvent company is Josef Grinschgl. The enterprise was registered in the commercial register since 31 October 2006. Their share capital amounts to EUR 1 million and is fully paid in. Their core business activities are transport and logistics services for food, fruit, vegetables and pharmaceutical products.
