Berger Fahrzeugtechnik launches lightweight semitrailers for coil transport
Coil version of BERGERecotrail® semitrailer helps transport companies to get more payload for steel transportations
The Austrian trailer producer Berger Fahrzeugtechnik has enlarged its product portfolio of the new brand BERGERecotrail®. With immediate effect the lightweight-construction specialist based in Radfeld/Tyrol offers a version for coil transport. Having a dead weight of 5,320 kilograms the new coil semitrailer set a new record with regard to net weight, as the manufacturer states. This results in more payload and efficiency. The coil version of the BERGERecotrail® semitrailer is like the standard model based on a welded frame construction made from high-quality fine grained steel, which is supported by an air-suspended three-axle aggregate. The flooring has a special moisture-resistant bottom, which – combined with high-quality sealing seams – offers a cargo hold protected against weather influence. The flooring construction is designed for a maximum truck axle load of 5,460 kilograms according to DIN EN 283. The core piece of the vehicle – the 8,200 millimetres coil trough – can safely accommodate coils at a diameter from 900 to 2,000 millimetres. Four aluminium stanchions secure the steel coils. The covering of the coil through allows to quickly convert the trailer for the transport of pallets. With complex measures BERGERecotrail® preserves also the value of the vehicles. Apart from using high-quality material and assiduous protection against corrosion, they also think about spots that are not within sight: Profiles and inaccessible points are principally conserved with a special cavity wax. This way the BERGERecotrail® coil semitrailer can preserve a high end look for many years, but it secures also the investment of the transport entrepreneur.
