KGH Customs Services sets another company acquisition

Takeover of Kuper Douaneservice consolidates position of KGH Customs Services in the European market for customs services

KGH Customs Services announces another company acquisition. Taking over Kuper Douaneservice in the Netherlands, the Swedish enterprise is strengthening its position as Europe’s leading and fastest growing independent provider of customs services. After the acquisition, KGH will have over 430 employees in eight countries.

Kuper Douaneservice has been a major player in the Dutch customs market for more than 80 years. In Addition to its head office in Nieuw Amsterdam it also has offices in Rotterdam and at Schiphol airport. Its service portfolio includes customs and VAT representation, customs consulting and customs training. “With the acquisition of Kuper, we will further strengthen our offer to our European customers”, says Vidar Gundersen, CEO of KGH. Johan Kuper will continue his work in the company and assume the role of Vice President and Managing Director for the KGH companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and UK.

The acquisition of Kuper Douaneservice follows the recent expansion of KGH Customs Services in Germany and Austria (they bought the company Hannl + Hofstetter). It is part of a long-term strategy to develop a widely-ranged, pan-European customs enterprise, which is able to offer comprehensive customs services in all important European countries.
