Berger Logistik and Bernhard Ebner to go their separate ways

On August 31, 2017, Bernhard Ebner left the management board of Berger Logistik GmbH. The transport logistics company headquartered in Wörgl, Tyrol, is grateful for the good long-term cooperation and announced that the now vacant position will be filled on 1 November 2017. In the itnerim period the management board of Berger Logistik and Berger’s holding companies will take care of these tasks.

Berger Logistik GmbH, founded in 1961 as a specialist in road transport along the corridor from Italy via Austria to Germany, is today a specialist in the segment of European and global forwarding of large quantities of beverages, perishable foodstuffs, consumer goods and non-hazardous chemical products. In the 2016 financial year, the Tyrolean transport logistics company with 250 employees generated sales of around EUR 150 million. The company owns 100 tractors and close to 400 trailers.

Managing Director (as of September 4, 2017):

  • Markus Ley: Head of Road, Sales, HR, Legal and Insurance, and Purchasing, Commercial Director Freight Transport
  • Christoph Hackl: Head of Finance, Quality and Marketing, Event

Shareholders:

  • Berger Beteiligungs GmbH (via Berger Transport GmbH): 50 percent
  • Red Bull GmbH: 50 percent

Berger Logistik is a company of the Berger Group, which also includes Berger Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH (production of semi-trailers in lightweight construction) in Radfeld and Berger Truck Service GmbH (garage for truck repair) in Wörgl, each with about 50 employees.
