BLG Logistics sets up new logistics facility in Falkensee
Gateway Real Estate implements logistics facility for BLG Logistics in Falkensee; Exclusively for material supply of Siemens switchgear plant in Berlin
Gateway Real Estate, a competence centre for all services related to logistics real estates, and BLG Logistics have recently laid the foundation stone for a new logistics facility in Falkensee in the northwest of Berlin. Since mid-July they have been constructing a 21,500 m² hall and 19,500 m² external storage area with Gateway Real Estate AG as investor.
From January 2014 BLG will operate the logistics facility exclusively for the customer Siemens. In future all logistics activities will be handled in Falkensee, which are related to material supply of the Siemens switchgear plant Berlin.
At 100 locations the BLG Logistics Group has 16,000 employees worldwide today. In their business units automotive, contract and container logistics the corporate group generated sales revenues of EUR 1.14 billion in 2012, and EBT of EUR 49.1 million.
