BTK forwarding opens new logistics facility in Raubling

New building of BTK Befrachtungs- und Transportkontor GmbH in Raubling near Rosenheim, Southern Germany, supports the industry with regional warehousing logistics

BTK Befrachtungs- und Transportkontor GmbH started operating their newly built logistics facility in Raubling at the Inntal motorway. The facility has 5,500 m² storage area and capacity for more than 5,000 pallets, boosting the business segment of regional contract logistics. The new site replaces three rented areas in the city of Rosenheim. The trigger for the construction of the new hall was the continuously rising demand of longstanding transport customers for regional warehouse logistics. However, BTK’s headquarters for administration and disposal remains in Rosenheim.

With the exception of cool and hazardous goods all kinds of palletised goods are accepted at the logistics facility. Half of the area meets high hygienic standards for the storage of plastic foils used for napkins and plasters. Among others, lock gates keep out soil, and vermin exterminators avoid infestation. The warehouse is operated with zero-emission electronic fork lifts exclusively. With about 20 to 25 daily truck trips the facility supports the logistics for plastic foils of RKW in Wasserburg, but also logistics for Mondi cardboards in Raubling and for kitchen appliances by Bora.

BTK Befrachtungs- und Transportkontor GmbH based in Rosenheim has about 250 employees and 150 own trailer trucks, providing transport logistics on German domestic relations and Central European relations, as well as regional contract logistics with comprehensive value-added services. Their longstanding regular customers include SCA’s units Packaging and Hygiene Products, RKW and Wepa. BTK is a member of the European loads association of international freight forwarders (Europäischer Ladungsverbund internationaler Spediteure ELVIS AG) and of the European-wide general cargo network International Logistics Network (ILN).
