Cargo Center Graz wants to establish as hub for southern ports

Cargo Center Graz strives for deeper cooperation with the logistics centres Ennshafen and Port of Vienna

Thea im of Cargo Center Graz (CCG) is to deepen its cooperation with the logistics centres Ennshafen and Port of Vienna. “The focus lies on interconnecting the three logistics locations by block train links and to position the CCG as a hub for traffic with southern ports, in particular to Koper and Trieste“, managing director Franz Glanz says when talking to the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

CCG is a neutral infrastructure company focussing on terminal operation as well as rental business and real estate development. At the Terminal Graz Süd (Werndorf) about 50,000 boxes (around 80,000 TEU) were handled in 2010. For the current year Franz Glanz expects a rise in volume by about 10 per cent. The logistics area at the CCG was enlarged by two new halls by 20 per cent to approximately 100,000 m².
