Cargoitalia to cease operations
Cargoitalia, the Italian air freight carrier, has been placed into voluntary liquidation.
The company suspended operations on December 21, 2011 and now faces being wound up.
The company, established in 2005, has had previous financial struggles and after its acquisition by Alis Aerolinee, the company relaunched in May 2009 with a single aircraft.
Cargoitalia then gradually increased its fleet and before operations were suspended the company had been operating aircraft to destinations in China, Hong Kong, UAE and the US. However, the company has now been placed in liquidation.
