Ceva Logistics launches LCL service from Hamburg to New York

Global expansion of LCL services shall make Ceva Logistics a top five provider of ocean freight forwarding services before 2013

The Ceva Logistics group has enhanced its ocean freight-product portfolio in the sector of LCL services (Less-than-Container Load). The globally acting transport and logistics service provider is offering regular departures from Hamburg to New York with immediate effect.

Delivery takes 11 days. Via New York the new LCL service offers IPI connectivity to 77 locations within the U.S. In a press release the enterprise announces that more LCL solutions are scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The expansion of the global network is an integral part of CEVA Logistics‘ ambition to become an international top five ocean forwarder by 2013. In addition the enterprise runs a program to systematically enhance its range of products in the segments LCL, FCL (Full-Container Load) and break bulk. Shortly before launching the LCL direct service from Hamburg to New York, Ceva has established LCL services from Busan, South Korea to Toronto, Canada and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and to Chicago, U.S.
