Change of top management at RCA
ÖBB-Head Christian Kern recalls Rail Cargo Austria-CEOs Friedrich Macher and Günther Riessland
It is a time of radical changes for the Austrian railway company ÖBB. Head of the group Christian Kern is making a clean sweep, starting with the loss-making rail cargo segment. In an extraordinary meeting of the supervisory board he dismissed RCA’s CEO Friedrich Macher as well as the second member of the board Günther Riessland. No successors were announced by now. As a reason for this personnel change Kern gives the unsatisfactory development of revenues generated in cargo transport, as well as in the passenger transport segment of the ÖBB. Macher had presented no recovery plan to heal the loss-making cargo transport by own means, but only on basis of state aid, as the daily newspaper “Standard” reads. Quelle: LogEastics |
