China Shipping: larger vessels for Asia-Black Sea Express

Port of Constanza covered by China Shipping Container Lines’ Asia-Black Sea Express to be served with 5,668 TEU vessels

China Shipping Container Lines starts a new era on the trades between East Asia and the riparian states of the Black Sea. In a press release the shipping line announces a capacity enhancement of the liner service called Asia-Black Sea Express (ABX), which was started five years ago.

The lately used 4,255 TEU vessels are replaced by 5,668 TEU units with immediate effect. Thus the offering is adjusted to the growth potential of the sea freight volume on the trades between Asia and the economic centres at the Black Sea, China Shipping Container Lines states.

The Asia Black Sea Express operated by the Chinese shipping line covers the following regular port rotation: Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Suez, Piraeus, Istanbul, Constanza. Ilyichevsk. Suez, Port Kelang and Shanghai. A complete service rotation takes 56 days.
